Beach Clean-Up on Swaraj Deep Island – Andamans
VNP engaged the local community of Swaraj Deep Island in a beach clean-up collecting over half a tonne of mostly plastic waste from the Kalapathar area. We worked with the Gram Panchayat to support us in shipping this trash to a waste management facility in Port Blair.

Stories of our cultural past to present times
Mr.Srikanth Shastry conducted a program at the main temple of Karapura village bringing together the community and panchayat members. The program covered stories from the Ramayana pertaining to Lava and Kusha and the significance of forests, rivers and wildlife was highlighted from our cultural past to present times.

Cleaning the banks of the Kapila River in Kabini
Vana Nadi Pashu-Pati engaged the local community to collect over 150kg of trash from the banks of the Kapila River in Kabini. This exercise has sensitized the locals to keeping the river and its banks clean, protecting bird and aquatic life in addition to the aesthetic value it creates.
